With reason of the World-wide Day of the Telecommunications and of the Information Society 2012, that celebrates on 17 May, the Official School of Engineers of Telecommunications of Galicia (COETG) celebrated the digital forum “The women and the girls in the TIC”. Under the lemma chosen by the International Union of Telecommunications (UIT) for 2012, the meeting took place in the Centre of Supercomputación of Galicia, CESGA, connecting from here with several schools and institutes of the main Galician cities.
The students participants had the opportunity to listen several women of recognised professional success in the field of the TIC, that encouraged them to develop his professional careers in this field and answered to his doubts regarding studies related with the TIC. The event, that also was broadcast in streaming and complemented with a chat, based in the use of the technology webminar and had the presence of the Director of the Agency for the Modernisation of Galicia, AMTEGA, Sea Pereira, the Director of the School of Engineering of Telecommunication, Edits of Lorenzo and the vowel of the COETG, Pilar Villaverde.

In the actuality a lot of institutions like universities, institutes, schools, academies and diverse public organisms have of computer classrooms in which they accumulate a big quantity of computers. The Centre of Supercomputación of Galicia (CESGA) and the Departments of Electronics and Computation and Physical of Particles of the USC, are working in the creation of a Cloud formed by all these computers inside the project Formiga Cloud.
The Formiga Cloud allows to use better existent resources in the classrooms of computing, facilitating so much the realisation of courses like the realisation of scientific simulations, employing remote computers.

The Future Internet Assembly (FIA) 2012 celebrates the days 9, 10 and 11 May in Aalborg, Denmark, under the Presidency of Denmark in the Council of the EU. With the lemma "intelligent Cities and the Internet of the things", the group of conferences and acts programmed will tackle the political appearances, technological and socioeconomic of the future of Internet having the participation of diverse representatives of the industry, the academic world and ‘stakeholders' of the European Commission and the states members.
At present, FIA gathers projects of investigation that form part of the program TIC of the Seventh Program Marco. It treats of projects of avant-garde in his respective areas and since the FIA allows open interactions and mutual enrichment through the technical commands, turns into an opportunity of catchment of talents for the community European researcher of the Internet of the Future. Researchers of the Department of Applications and Projects of the CESGA participate in the live demonstrations of FIRE (Future Internet Research and Experimentation).
