O próximo xoves día 2 as 12:00 h, no Centro de Supercomputación de Galicia (CESGA) na sala de presentacións, investigadores do Centro Nacional de Energías Renovables (CENER) ofrecerán un seminario público titulado "CFD para Aerogeneradores". Este seminario forma parte da serie de seminarios públicos que se realizan durante as estancias otorgadas na convocatoria de accesos a ICTS-CESGA para o 2010, e que están financiadas polo MICINN (referencia ICTS-2009-40).

ONE BILLION UNKNOWNS SOLVED WITH THE FINISTERRAE |

Last August 15th the HEMCUVE team, formed by scientists of the universities of Extremadura and Vigo, with the collaboration of the technical personnel of the Galicia Supercomputing Centre, CESGA, have analyzed with the supercomputer FinisTerrae, the major electromagnetic problem of the history, containing more than ONE BILLION unknowns. The attainment of this new mark overcomes one of the big scientific challenges of the computational electromagnetism of the 21st century.

GALICIA LAUNCHES ITS FIRST MASTER IN SUPERCOMPUTING |

A Master in High Performance Computing (HPC) will be set for the first time in Galicia during the 2010-2011 year. Organized and taught by A Coruña University (UDC), Santiago de Compostela University (USC) and Galicia Supercomputing Center (CESGA), and sponsor by Bull and Hewlett Packard (HP), it aims to fulfill the great demand of specialized professionals for this discipline and its multiple applications, existing in universities, research centers and private sector.
