The project searches into solutions that allow the integration of existing technologies (in research state, under development or presents in the market), for CAD and archiving of medical images in a distributed environment. Based on the idea of specialization, according to which in a future there will co-exist different specialized actors in different tasks: image acquisition or data gathering (dedicated hospitals, with very high technology), treatment of the information, visualization and CAD (specializing computer centres) and treatment of the patient (conventional hospitals) namely the users of the existing distributed technology. It is a Prove of Concept (PoC) on the technological viability of a centralized solution of Diagnosis Assisted by Computer and technologies that make it possible as archiving and visualization technologies.
