CESGA has advanced infrastructures that are allocated to increase the research capacity of the scientific-technological community and industry. The high quality of the available infrastructures, as well as its uniqueness in the entirety of the Spanish State, have motivated the recognition of the installation as the Singular Scientific Technological Infrastructure of Spain (ICTS). The most significant infrastructures are allocated to provide high performance computing in scientific-technological environments by means of different architectures as well as the advanced communications networks that allow the Galician scientific-technological community to access national and international academic-scientific networks by means of high bandwidths. Other infrastructures also exist that are related with the information technologies that provide a wide variety of complementary services.
The e-infrastructures managed by CESGA were financed by the Regional Government of Galicia (Xunta de Galicia), the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), the Ministry for Economy and Competitiveness of the Government of Spain, and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
